Emily Hermant is a Canadian installation artist whose work has been shown in museums, galleries and festivals in Canada, the United States, South America and Europe. She received her BFA in Studio Arts and Religion from Concordia University, Montréal, Québec in 2004, and her MFA as a Trustee Scholar at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2010, where her work was supported by a grant from the Fonds québécois de recherche sure la société et la culture (FQRSC). She is currently based in Richmond, VA where she is Visiting Assistant Professor in Craft and Material Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University.
