In my work, I look for ways to reveal invisible patterns in communication and the hidden, intimate meanings in these patterns. I am especially intrigued by the ways in which ordinary interactions can be transformed to take on extraordinary meaning. My works touch on these transformations using fiber, sculptural elements, and digital media. I find myself continually drawn to themes and modes of working, in which simplicity, both in meaning and in form, is a basis for complex, layered work. Elements of strength and delicacy, permanence and transience are reflected in the ideas I choose to explore, as well as in the visual, tactile forms I create.
